57745 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: Does the Minister agree with The Rainbow Support Collective that the rainbow population was not named as a priority group, for applications for the new Mental Health and Addiction Community Sector Innovation Fund; if so, why not?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that the criteria for the Mental Health and Addiction Community Sector Innovation Fund did not specify any particular population as a priority group. I am further advised that one criteria for applications for the fund was: "achieves positive outcomes for target population groups that have evidence of poorer mental health outcomes than other groups." This criteria covers the rainbow population, which does have evidence of poorer mental health outcomes than other groups.
