57698 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Finance: What analysis, if any, has been carried out by The Treasury on the impact of the Emissions Trading Scheme auction failures on the Government’s revenue strategy and fiscal forecasts?

Hon Nicola Willis: Following ETS auctions, the Treasury usually provides a short update to my office on the fiscal impacts of the auction result. The Treasury also provides commentary on impacts of auctions as part of advice on economic and fiscal updates as needed. The Treasury has not undertaken any wider analysis on the impact of recent auction results on the Government's revenue strategy or fiscal forecasts.
