57601 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Conservation: What are the holiday shut down dates, if any, for the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, during the 2025-26 holiday period?

Hon Tama Potaka: The Department of Conservation advises that some operational teams continue to operate throughout the holiday period to provide essential services, such as DOC Visitor Centres, campgrounds and Great Walk huts, bird feeding facilities, and emergency response. For all other staff, DOC offices will close at close of business on Wednesday 24 December 2025 and re-open on Monday 5 January 2026.
