57589 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Children: What are the holiday shut down dates, if any, for the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, during the 2025-26 holiday period?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the Wellington National Office and Regional Office buildings will be closed from 24 December 2025 to 2 January 2026. However, Oranga Tamariki is the lead agency responsible for the care and protection of children and young people at risk of harm. I am further advised therefore, that to ensure continuity of services across this period, all other areas of Oranga Tamariki will be operating.
