Hon David Seymour: The Ministry of Education is not offering any financial assistance for asbestos testing or remediation works in Early Childhood Education (ECE) services as they are privately-owned entities, co-funded through government subsidies and parent fees. It is the services’ responsibility to manage unforeseen operational costs using these two funding sources. It is expected that ECE services, as private organisations, have business continuity insurance arrangements in place to manage unforeseen events.
