57494 (2025). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: How many workplace exposure incidents or complaints relating to asbestos in play sand have been reported to WorkSafe in the past five years?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that WorkSafe New Zealand has received 69 exposure incidents or complaints relating to asbestos in play sand over the past five years, with the first being made on 13 November 2025.
