57491 (2025). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Has the Minister sought advice on whether current workplace exposure standards for asbestos are sufficient to account for incidental contamination in non-industrial products such as play sand?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised work is still ongoing to identify the nature and levels of asbestos in the products identified to date, and their risk profile. I may seek further advice once these facts are established.
