Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How many homes, in each calendar month since November 2017, have been recorded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development as (a) proposed or under evaluation, (b) approved, (c) contracted, and (d) delivered, broken down by region, and within each region by (i) social housing and Māori housing, (ii) for social housing, whether the homes were CHP-built or Kāinga Ora-built, and (iii) for all housing types, the Budget appropriation, funding pathway, or programme under which each home or project was funded?

Hon Chris Bishop: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development advises it does not hold centralised records of the status of individual projects from different funding pathways, by month, by region, dating back to 2017. Therefore, in accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210/6, I consider that the time, and hence expense, of answering this question cannot be justified as a matter of public interest.
