Written Question

57440 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: What assessment, if any, has the Ministry of Social Development made of whether the 60-day follow-up period used in its emergency-housing outcomes model captures the full range of rehousing pathways for clients, and whether a longer or shorter follow-up window would produce more accurate or complete data?
Hon Tama Potaka: I refer the member to my previous response to Written Parliamentary Question 56439 (2025).
The Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) has further advised that as part of the Ministry’s ongoing work to understand outcomes for clients and to improve services, officials will consider whether improvements could be made to the model. This could include considering the length of time for the follow-up period.
