57399 (2025). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Immigration: How many, if any, people held a temporary visa and had done so for at least 5 years from 26 March 2025 to 8 December 2025?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that as at 8 December 2025, the number of people who currently hold a temporary visa that have been ordinarily resident in New Zealand for at least five years is 14,907. This covers all types of temporary visas including student, work, and limited visas. Note that to ensure the integrity of the data, the same data set has been used as the answer to Written Parliamentary Question 12358 (2025).
