Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to WPQ 55130 (2025), did the relevant Council, NZTA, or any Minister consider or approve using any non-transport funding source to replace or supplement transport funding for Lansdowne to Kuripuni Cycle Facilities, if so, who initiated this and on what advice?

Hon Chris Bishop: No. Following with withdrawal of CERF funding, local authorities were required to source their own funding. As Minister of Transport, I do not have oversight of any funding decisions made by councils. I suggest the Member contacts the responsible council for further information.
