56958 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 2 September 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. I received the following documents for the Prime Minister portfolio from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) between 2-6 September 2024:
• Update on North Island Weather Events (NIWE) recovery activities in Te Tairāwhiti, 5 September 2024
• 2024 National Risks Public Survey: Summary, 5 September 2024
• Cabinet Talking Points_9 Sept, 6 September 2024
• Prime Minister’s weekly Brief.
I also received one document on 5 September 2024, and two documents on 6 September 2024. Also, jointly in my capacity as the Minister for National Security and Intelligence I received six documents on 6 September 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents.
Jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery the following document
North Island Weather Events: Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, and Sediment Removal, 4 September 2024.
I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings.
In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
