Hon Dr Shane Reti: As Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, I have no responsibility for any government departments or ministries. With regard to Crown Entities and any other bodies under the Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio for which I am responsible I have been advised that Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand Ltd and Public Health Forensic Science (PHF Science) did not hire any plants since 27 November 2023. With regard to Bioeconomy Sciences Institute (BSI), Earth Sciences New Zealand (ESNZ), and Callaghan Innovation, I am advised that the attached spreadsheet outlines the total spending on the hiring of plants since 27 November 2023, broken down by month.
