Hon Louise Upston: As Minister for Tourism and Hospitality, I have no responsibility for any government departments or Ministries. With regard to Crown entities under the Tourism and Hospitality portfolio, I am advised that Tourism New Zealand has indicated that the number of plants hired has likely remained the same across the entire period. The confirmed numbers of plants by location are: - Auckland Office: 109 plants (before Tourism New Zealand purchased them outright in July 2024) - Wellington Office: 19 plants - Sydney Office: 15 plants Furthermore, Tourism New Zealand does not record information on plant species or suppliers.
