Hon Dr Shane Reti: Corrected reply: I am advised that “kaiāwhina” is an umbrella term that can be applied to positions across a range of health sector services including general practice, hospice, well child, aged care, and mental health services. I am further advised that Health New Zealand has increased the purchase price of services that may employ kaiāwhina from 1 July 2024 to help meet cost pressures, including wage cost pressures.
