56539 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister responsible for the GCSB: What is the total spending on the hiring of plants by entities for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, broken down by month?

Hon Judith Collins: I am advised that that GCSB has spent a total of $25,855.70 on the hiring of plants since 27 November 2023, broken down annually as follows: November-December 2023 - $2016.58 January-December 2024 - $12,642.89 January-December 2025 - $11,196.21 The GCSB has advised that it is not able to provide a breakdown by month of the costs within the time allowed for a response to this question. Please note all facilities costs for both the GCSB and NZSIS are incurred by the GCSB as the leaseholder of the Wellington premises. A portion of these costs are then on charged to the NZSIS as an overhead cost allocation.
