56535 (2025). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What will be the total recruit capacity for each professional firefighter recruit course that is scheduled to take place in 2026, if any?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised by Fire and Emergency New Zealand that capacity for a standard course is 24 recruits, however this can occasionally be greater depending on the number of positions required across the country. Historically as many as 30 recruits have been accommodated in a single course.
