Rt Hon Winston Peters: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade hires 131 plants (118 floor standing and 13 tabletop plants) across 9 floors of its Wellington head office. All plants are supplied by Plants Undercover. The monthly cost of plant hire, which includes fresh flowers weekly for the Ministry's reception is NZ$2,939 (excluding GST) totalling NZ$70,540 (excluding GST) since 27 November 2023. For the Asia New Zealand Foundation, hires a total of 12 indoor plant displays supplied by Rentokil and Hire Plants Limited. The total spent on plant hire since 27 November 2023 is NZ$9,378.48 (excl. GST), or NZ$390.77 (excl. GST) per month across the Wellington and Auckland Offices. A detailed list is attached.
