Hon Nicola Willis: The number of plants hired by The Treasury from 27 November 2023 was 97 per month and reduced to 75 per month from September 2024. All plants are rotated throughout the building. The current inventory includes the following species: • Ficus Benjamina (Weeping fig, Starlight) • Ficus Amstel (Green gold) • Ficus (Golden Monique, Reginald) • Ficus Cyathistipula (Louis) • Draceana Marginata (Dragon) • Draceana (Arturo, Greenstripe, Dorado) • Draceana Janet Craig (Compacta & standard long leaf variety) • Schefflera Amate (Umbrella) • Schefflera Arbricola (5 finger) • Spathiphyllum (Peace Lilly) • Sansevieria Trafasciata (Black coral) RBNZ hires indoor plants for both its Wellington and Auckland offices on a fixed price basis, which includes full maintenance and replacement of retired plants across all floors. The providers supply a selection of indoor plants in planters that are suitable for the internal building environment. For entities that I am a shareholding Minister of, this is not information held by a shareholding Minister, as the entities for which we are responsible are operationally independent. The information requested would require substantial collation to respond within the standard timeframe of a Written Parliamentary Question and, as such, we consider answering this question to not be in the public interest. I am advised that the species and number of plants hired by the Natural Hazards Commission are not recorded. The suppliers, locations and dates are provided in the attached table.
