Hon Dr Shane Reti: I have been advised that Stats NZ offers a diverse range of services to meet staff capability and training needs, including through experiential training (i.e. learning through on-the-job tasks), coaching and mentoring, and facilitated formal training. Training in understanding and managing bias – statistical or otherwise – is available in all these formats to varying degrees and is tailored to the needs of the specific roles and specific individuals.
