56506 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Customs: How many plants, broken down by species or type, have been hired by each entity for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, and what were the suppliers and locations for each installation, broken down by month?
Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that the New Zealand Customs Service has hired 12 plants at AECOM House in Auckland since 1 May 2025. Of these 12 plants, six are Aspidistra and six are Zamioculcas Zamiifolia. The hire and maintenance cost is $70.66 per month. From 1 May to 30 November 2025, Customs has spent a total of $575.07 on this service which includes a one-off installation cost of $80.45. This service is provided under Customs’ contract with OCS Ltd, which has concluded.
