56499 (2025). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Associate Minister of Education: Further to her answer to written question 55013 (2025): what is the Ministry of Education's internal process for dealling with reports of concern relating to individuals in teh community interacting with schools?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that concerns and complaints of this nature are managed by the Ministry’s regional offices. Staff assess the information, engage with the school and, if needed, refer matters to other agencies such as Oranga Tamariki, Police, the New Zealand School Boards Association or the Teaching Council. This ensures timely local responses and compliance with statutory obligations. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 56500 (2025).
