56498 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Corrections: How many plants, broken down by species or type, have been hired by each entity for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, and what were the suppliers and locations for each installation, broken down by month?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Corrections contracts OCS New Zealand to provide plants and foliage to 17 sites across the country as part of an agreement that includes the cost to hire and maintain the plants (with replacement where needed). I am further advised that the information requested is not collated in a way that allows easy breakdown of costs and number of plants. To provide this information would require officials to undertake substantial collation and manual analysis, which I am not prepared to ask for the purposes of this response.
