Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand progressed the following workstreams aimed at reducing unwanted variation in acute care: - Development of a draft document for the Acute Flow Operational Standards. - Finalised a performance monitoring framework. - Implementation of a national escalation framework to reduce variation in hospital escalation practices. - Embedding nationally consistent, daily operational flow meetings
