Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 on the proposed action ‘scope and commence a project to improve the visibility of mental health and addiction inpatient and emergency department data’ under ‘Strategic Priority Area 3: Data, insights, and intelligence’ within Te Whatu Ora’s ‘Acute Care Plan 2024’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand continued to make progress in the visibility of mental health and addiction inpatient data and emergency department data. I am further advised that validation of the work done on the inpatient dataset is occurring throughout Health NZ.
