56446 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 on the proposed action ‘establish and implement a project to ensure consistent and appropriate access to tests in rural settings, to improve timely diagnostic capability’ under ‘Strategic Priority Area 5: Driving operational improvement’ within Te Whatu Ora’s ‘Acute Care Plan 2024’?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand began work on a number of actions to deliver the national Rural Health Work Programme. Progress in the quarter included: • The Rural Hospital Sustainability Project commenced work to collect data. • The Rural Urgent Unplanned Care redesign project was established.
