Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 on the proposed action ‘scope priority projects to reduce occupied bed days in the Districts with the greatest opportunities for improvement’ under ‘Strategic Priority Area 5: Driving operational improvement’ within Te Whatu Ora’s ‘Acute Care Plan 2024’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June quarter, implementation of the complex care escalation plan began. This is a national template that can be adapted for local implementation.
