Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister agree with the Grocery Commissioner's August 2024 view that "the continuing level of pricing errors happening across the major supermarkets is simply unacceptable, and I don't believe the major supermarkets are doing enough to fix these problems"?

Hon Andrew Bayly: I am aware of the Grocery Commissioner’s concerns and expect the pricing of goods in supermarkets to be accurate and clear to ensure Kiwi consumers are getting a fair deal at the checkout. I intend to commence a review of the Fair Trading Act in 2025, which may consider this matter further.
