Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 2-6 September 2024 (inclusive): • NEMA Fortnightly Status Report to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery - 3 September 2024 • Annual Preparedness Survey Findings - 5 September 2024. In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister, I received the following documents: - North Island Weather Events: Progress Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, and Sediment Removal - 4 September 2024 - Update on North Island Weather Events (NIWE) recovery activities in Te Tairāwhiti - 5 September 2024.
