56345 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: How many, if any, people who were living rough have been accommodated to date in the 300 social homes he announced on 5 September 2025 and how does that number breakdown by location?

Hon Tama Potaka: As at 10 December, 71 tenancies have commenced. This includes 46 in Auckland, five in Wellington and 20 in Christchurch. I expect this total to continue to increase in the coming weeks.
