56324 (2025). Hon Julie Anne Genter to the Minister of Transport: What will the average time savings for trips be as a result of the SH1 Improvements Project be, when including off peak trips?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that the current transport modelling identifies average peak hour travel time savings on State Highway 1 of up to 10 minutes as a result of the SH1 Wellington Improvements project. Details on the range of forecast travel time savings for different peak time trips are available as part of the community engagement brochure on the NZTA website. Off peak travel time savings vary by trip and time of day. Off peak trips are generally forecast to have less travel time savings.
