Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that yes, the proposed 3.6 metre-wide shared path in the second Mt Victoria Tunnel will meet the recommended minimum width for a shared path. Current design assumptions anticipate approximately 200 additional walking and cycling trips per day, giving an estimated 75 to 100 cyclists during the peak hour, based on existing usage patterns and projected growth.
