56289 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Finance: What was the nature of the recommendations for implementation in the medium-to-long term of the independent rapid review of the Ministry for Social Development?

Hon Nicola Willis: The independent rapid reviews identified opportunities for future savings and made recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the respective agencies. The recommendations include both structural and targeted policy options. The Government and agencies are currently considering the results of these reviews and the Government will make choices in the future as to whether agencies consider or implement any recommendations. The IRR reports will shortly be available on the Treasury website (with the appropriate redactions).
