56283 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Transport: How many Non-Disclosure Agreements, if any, have been entered into with employees, former employees, contractors, or consultants in each of the entities for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, broken down by month?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by the Ministry of Transport that they have entered into two Non-Disclosure Agreements. Please refer to the Ministry’s responses to question 48 and 207 in the Annual Review 2024/25 and 2023/24 years respectively for details. In respect to stand-alone NDAs engaged by NZTA I refer the Member to my response regarding NZTA in Written Question 56266 (2025). With respect to employment-related settlement agreements that contain a non-disclosure obligation – in the period requested, there were 30 settlement agreements. I am unable to provide a breakdown of settlement agreements entered by month as this would subvert section 148 of the Employment Relations Act 2000. This relates to the confidentiality around settlements.
