56276 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Transport: What is the total cost, if any, of settlement agreements in each of the entities for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, broken down by month?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by the Ministry of Transport that 7 settlement agreements were reached between 27 November 2023 and 3 December 2025. Given the small number of settlements over this period and the size of the Ministry it would be identifiable on an individual basis to provide the cost of these broken down by month. The total cost of settlement agreements between 27 November 2023 and 3 December 2025 was $367,701.59 I am also advised by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi that the total cost of settlement payments paid between 27 November 2023 and 2 December 2025 was $1,446,495.45. I refer the Member to the attached document for the breakdown of this total.
