56256 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: Did the Minister's department, if any, have a chief science advisor as of 1 July 2023?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the Responsible Minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) including the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), a Departmental Agency hosted by DPMC. I am advised that as at 1 July 2023 and 1 July 2024, there was a chief science advisor located in NEMA. DPMC does not have a chief science adviser.
