56234 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Social Investment: Did the Minister's department, if any, have a chief science advisor as of 1 July 2024; and if not, are there any plans for future hire of a chief science advisor?

Hon Nicola Willis: I have been advised that the Social Investment Agency did not have a Chief Science Advisor as of 1 July 2024. While there are no current plans to hire a Chief Science Advisor, the Agency only came into operation on 1 July 2024 and is still considering the capability needed to fulfil its new functions.
