56214 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Public Service: Did the Minister's department, if any, have a chief science advisor as of 1 July 2023?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised that the Public Service Commission’s Chief Advisor Strategy and Policy role included Chief Science Advisor accountabilities as of 1 July 2023 and 1 July 2024. The Chief Advisor Strategy and Policy role has since been disestablished as at 19 August 2024 and the Commission has no plans to hire a chief science advisor or transfer the accountabilities to another role. This is also my response to WPQ 56224 (2024).
