Camilla Belich to the Minister for Rail: For what reasons, if any, have Non-Disclosure Agreements been used in each of the entities for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, broken down by category of issue (such as conduct, grievances, employment disputes, whistleblowing, or other)?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: The primary reason for a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is when two or more parties agree not to disclose information. No NDAs have occurred at Ferry Holdings. KiwiRail recently noted in its written responses to questions from the Transport and Infrastructure Committee that KiwiRail does not have any record of NDAs with employees or employee contractors related to their employment as at 12 November 2025 (the last time this was checked) as it is not normal practice for KiwiRail to have NDAs with employees.
