56121 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Environment: Did the Minister's department, if any, have a chief science advisor as of 1 July 2024; and if not, are there any plans for future hire of a chief science advisor?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised that as of 1 July 2024, the Ministry for the Environment employed a permanent Chief Science Advisor and a Chief Māori Science Advisor.
