56110 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: What role(s), if any, within Oranga Tamariki approves provisional caregiver placements, as of 31 August 2024?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that Supervisors, Site Managers, and Caregiver Recruitment and Support Managers can approve provisional caregiver placements. If there is significant child protection history and more serious police conviction history, provisional approval cannot be considered, and a full assessment would need to be undertaken.
