56106 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Defence: Did the Minister's department, if any, have a chief science advisor as of 1 July 2024; and if not, are there any plans for future hire of a chief science advisor?

Hon Judith Collins: I am advised that the Ministry of Defence did not have a Chief Science Advisor as of 1 July 2024, and there are no current plans to hire one. For the New Zealand Defence Force, the member is referred to the response to question for written answer 56105 (2024).
