56090 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Conservation: Did the Minister's department, if any, have a chief science advisor as of 1 July 2024; and if not, are there any plans for future hire of a chief science advisor?

Hon Tama Potaka: The Department of Conservation advises me that it does not have a Chief Science Advisor as of 1 July 2024. The position was disestablished in the recent change process and there are no future plans to hire one.
