56076 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage: Did the Minister's department, if any, have a chief science advisor as of 1 July 2024; and if not, are there any plans for future hire of a chief science advisor?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that Ministry for Culture and Heritage did not have a chief science advisor as of 1 July 2024 and there are no plans to hire a chief science advisor. Where scientific advice is required, I am advised that the Ministry consults with external sources.
