56002 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What specific measures, if any, will he take to address the 1.1% drop in parent-rated child health as reported in the Health and Independence Report 2023?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am committed to ensuring that children in New Zealand have good health, and that this is supported by a health system that provides timely access to quality healthcare. The GPS sets out my expectations that our health system prioritises investment in children, to support a good start in life, and to prevent or lessen the life-long impacts from poor childhood health.
