56001 (2024). Steve Abel to the Minister for Resources: What is the use, if any, of lignite coal in New Zealand?

Hon Shane Jones: I am advised that lignite coal is primarily used domestically for: industrial process heat, agricultural forestry and fishing processes, commercial heating, and residential heating.
