55994 (2024). Lan Pham to the Minister for Infrastructure: What advice including briefings, aide-memoires, memos, notes, reports, if any, has he received on public private partnerships since February 2024; listed by title, date, and department?
Hon Chris Bishop: One of the Government’s six infrastructure priorities is to improve infrastructure funding and financing. As part of the work programme to progress this priority, the Infrastructure Commission is leading work, with input from the Treasury, on modernising the public private partnership (PPP) model. The Treasury has been leading the advice on the establishment of the National Infrastructure Agency, which will be involved in PPPs. I have received advice on these work programmes as they progress. I also receive advice on specific projects that currently use or have the potential to use PPP. Key briefings I have received on these issues are listed in the document attached. I also receive advice through the Infrastructure Commission’s weekly reports, which are published on their website. The titles of six papers have been withheld in accordance with SR 199/6 as these are still under active consideration and not in the public interest to release.
