55977 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Is the Criminal Cases Review Commission planning a systemic inquiry into police investigative practices?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: The Commission’s current inquiry into eyewitness identification evidence will examine police practices specifically relating to the eyewitness identification of offenders. I am advised that the Commission is not currently planning an inquiry into police investigative practices more generally.
