55961 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 52448 (2024), why is an increase in funding for 34 services across 25 providers not included in a Budget 2024 initiative?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that decisions to increase or reduce specific services with third-party social service providers is determined within baseline. Contracting decisions are an operational matter and are the responsibility of the Chief Executive of Oranga Tamariki.
