55885 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What was the total value of catering contracts held by Health New Zealand on 27 November 2023, listed by provider, the date the contract was signed, and the total value of the contract?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that on 27 November 2023, Health New Zealand held catering contracts with Compass, and Spotless. I am further advised that Health NZ has a number of contacts with both companies, with different contract dates and covering different districts. The value of each contract is commercially sensitive and cannot be disclosed without the supplier’s consent. However, I am advised that as at 27 November 2023, Health New Zealand had paid Compass $38,852,441.14 across all its contracts during FY2023/24. Similarly, it had paid Spotless $12,678,963.87. I refer the Member to the table attached to Written Parliamentary Question 55882 (2024) details of when each contract was signed.
